Pravin Narayan Choudhary Coordinator - Vidyapati Smriti Parva Samaroh - 2068 (Biratnagar)
Vidyapati Smriti Parva Samaroh - 2068
A mega event held at Biratnagar on December 9-10, 2011 for two days after a grand success of last year's Vidyapati Smriti Parva Samaroh - 2067 on December 10-11, 2010. The event was inaugurated by His Excellency Parmanand Jha, the First Vice President of Nepal in a very lovely and unique fashion as he joined the cultural procession on mid way and later by putting on the flames of Panchdeep - a traditional mode of flame-burning in Mithila placed opposite the decorated photo of great poet cuckoo Vidyapati. Before this, the honorable chief guest was given a very warm welcome by claps, flowers bouquet, garlands and more beautifully by school students on drum bits through march-past and salutation of honor, thereafter everyone participated in the national anthem and the ever-essential Gosaunik Geet written by Vidyapati - Jay Jay Bhairavi was also sung by all guests and spectators remaining standing on their seats. This was the moment of thrilling to entire audience. Earlier in morning the Maithils gathered in mass of thousands with several shows representing their cultures such as Sita and Princess of Mithila wedded with Rama and Princes of Ayodhya together with Lord Shiva, Vidyapati, Sage Vishwamitra and of course Hanumana as well appeared with His discus. A child artist played beautiful role of Hanumana was the key point of this show. Others were Sama Chakeva, Jhijhiya, Kamala Snan, Holi and a special show for how Maithils live united in the moments of happiness or sorrow - all castes are required to remain in bonds of love. For example, if it is the marriage function, earth potteries are required from earth-potters, some bamboo-utensils required from the sweepers (scavenger class among the Hindus), another Vedi of bamboo shoot and some other stuffs required from the barbers... likewise all castes gather together for success of one event of marriage in Mithila. :) This is the beauty. And, this concept was tried to present through a show. Several distinguished guests from both Nepal and India participated in the inaugural function. Dr. Baidyanath Choudhary 'Baiju', Dr. Dhanakar Thakur - the duo dedicated leaders of Mithila attended the function and delivered their brief address on protection of Mithila identity by granting a separate Mithila state for Maithils both in India and Nepal. The highly reputed writer of Maithili lyrics Siyaram Jha Saras, Dr. Rambharos Kapari and Dhirendra Premarshi also attended the function. Highly learned scholar Dr. Debendra Jha - the ex-HOD of Maithili from Bihar University (Muzaffarpur) once again after winning the heart of all Maithils in Biratnagar in last year function. People heard his sweet voice full of pearls of wisdom calmly, though once again there were a very little time for him to address the audience. His focus on life of Vidyapati and activeness of Maithils were impressive. Luckily ex-MP, Araria and ex-MLA Forbesgunj Sukhdev Paswan and Laxmi Narayan Mehta also arrived to attend this program from Delhi and Patna respectively. They also addressed to the audience for need of separate Mithila state and that of protecting the high values cultural heritages of Maithils - Hon'ble Paswan recalled the role of his party BJP and leader Atal Behari Vajpayee for his gift to Mithila by granting Maithili in Schedule VIII of Indian Constitution and demanded similar honor for Maithili in Nepal. The duo expressed their happiness for attending the event coming from far and thanked the organizer Maithili Sewa Samiti for such a decent function organized at historic land of Biratnagar. The special messenger of Honorable PM Dr. Baburam Bhattarai - his Press Counselor Ramarizhan Yadav read the messages of PM before the audience expressing happiness for wellness of Maithils organizing such mega event for protection of rich language and culture as Maithili. Local MP Jayram Yadav addressed to the audience with commitment to have honor for Mithila and Maithili in new Nepal at any cost, however, the demand for Madhesh overall is on priority and that has to be fulfilled by the constitution on way to be formed. Ex-MP Khushilal Mandal from Rajbiraj also addressed to the audience briefing the role of his party and cadres for protecting the values of Maithili and need of hour for doing more to protect the cultural heritage of Mithila. Dr. Rambharos Kapari - Member of Pragya Pratishthan, Nepal addressed the audience for hard efforts they make for Maithili in center and the role of Pragya Pratishthan for publishing several write ups in Maithili. Siyaram Jha Saras in his long-established fashion presented the delivery for keeping the active excitement of Maithils at top. Dhirendra Premarshi once again revealed the hidden attachment with Maithili for Madheshi politicians advocating for Hindi in Madhesh saying the suppression cannot last long. Truth cannot be hidden by smokes or shadow cannot last without support true Sunlight. Karuna Jha, the lonely lady on dais addressed the audience for need of uplifting women for successful movements in Mithila. Participating UML Leader Mr. Mahesh Regmi insisted on Maithils to interact more and more openly and broadly with all sects of society to let others feel proudly say 'Out Maithili' rather than 'Their Maithili'. This has a beautiful message for balanced communal harmony, which has gone out of order in recent days due to different clashes of identity. The way he addressed clearly said that previous suppression has blasted to shape up new Nepal, and let people not repeat the same blunder ever again in future. Similarly the founder president of Hidippa Sahityik Parishad Mr. Shyam Adhikari addressed the audience for working together for pious purposes without discriminating any caste, creed or color but unitedly for one reason the culture of our mother land. Bhanubhakta Pokharel whose book Kavya Chaugedi was also released by VP addressed to the audience saying it was indeed a blissful moment for him to have attended the celebration of a great poet Vidyapati who served Maithili but getting opportunity of releasing his book in Nepali virtually proves the beautiful fate of near and dear relationship between languages with grammars - both Nepali and Maithili are worth for general mankind of Nepal. There were several other distinguished guests and dignities on the dais including the prominent industrialist and social activist - Central Committee Member of FNCCI and Former President of Morang Merchants Association Mahesh Jaju who was duly declared by the Coordinator to be the true inspiration behind the mega event, Dr. Narayan Kumar, Dr. Pawan Karna, Dr. Mahanand Mishra, Shri Chandresh, Kiran Thapa - Secretary to VP, CDO Morang Taranath Gautam, Prof. Bhagavan Jha, Jitendra Jha, Laxmiraman Jha and others.
